Relic Reborn Awarded 4.5 Stars by Self-Publishing Review
With Relic Reborn edging ever closer to publication on 15 September 2026, I’m delighted to share that the book has received a 4.5-star editorial review from Self-Publishing Review.
The review describes Relic Reborn as:
“An explosive, action-filled first installment of a new high-fantasy series.”
It also highlights the balance between the novel’s larger battle sequences and its character-driven storytelling, calling the book:
“An immersive and enthralling adventure from the very first page.”
For me, that balance has always been important. Azangrail is a brutal world, filled with war, fractured loyalties, ancient powers, faith, betrayal, and people forced into choices they may never be able to undo. But the battles only matter if the characters caught inside them matter too.
And the review also highlighted that:
“Putting a premium on character development and story-crafting.”
I was delighted with that line, as the morally grey characters I love to write have to keep readers invested if they are going to feel the pain, anguish, and consequences of what happens to those they care about.

I was really pleased to read that because Relic Reborn is only the beginning of The Prophecy Series.
